Things I’ve learned on my mat and apply to my everyday life:
Don’t forget to breathe. Breathe long and deep. Match your breath with your movements. Slow down.
Set your sight. It doesn’t matter what’s going on around you or if someone looks different. It’s your practice (life) so take what you need. Do not compare your practice (life) to someone else’s.
There is always somewhere else to go. Always a reason to push it a little further or stay for a few more seconds. The uncomfortable moments we can breathe through. The tough poses (times) don’t last forever but they do make us stronger.
Show up. It doesn’t matter if you fall out. Come right back. Start again. Try again.
My body is amazing, strong and capable. Do not underestimate it. I am powerful.
Listen! Listen closely. To the cues, to the breath, to everything around you. Be open to receiving. Only then can you truly grow.
