Elderberry

Don’t get me wrong there is certainly a time and place for modern medicine and doctors visits, however my family and I try our hardest to steer clear, especially during these times of a pandemic.

When it comes to a cold there isn’t much that conventional medicine can do or even for a mild case of the flu. If you or your babies have ever had a rough case of the common cold or the flu, you know how miserable it can be. We never like seeing our loved ones ill. Thankfully, mother nature provides us with amazing tools that can help us to avoid certain sicknesses and even shorten the duration if you do happen to get them.

Elderberries are something I’ve been learning a lot about! They naturally contain vitamins A, B, and C and will help stimulate your immune system. My homemade Elderberry syrup is your immune-supporting go to this winter season! I’ve used organic elderberries mixed with herbs like cinnamon and ginger, plus raw honey for an extra immune boost!

I personally take 1 teaspoon a day and give half of this to my kids. Some sources recommend only consuming during weekdays and not weekends to help strengthen your immune system. Use your judgement. During illness, I double or triple our amounts. I’m so excited to be able to provide another natural alternative to vaccines and antibiotics!
