I read an article recently about how to stay connected and sane during these upcoming cold months all while social distancing. So I thought as the winter weather hits, especially during a pandemic, I think it’s extremely important to address seasonal depression, anxiety and what we can start to do to combat those feelings.
Even if you’re more of an introvert, humans by nature are social creatures and we’re all going to need a little extra healing and help during the next few months. Your life shouldn’t revolve around medication or worrying thoughts like “as the days get darker is my mind going to as well?” You can start to insert small things into your daily life that impact it in a big way. It’s a lifestyle change. It starts with you, and support from me.
Here are my suggestions and how my apothecary can assist!
Natural Medicines:
SLEEP. This is so important! Sleepy time salve offers support nightly.
Exercise! Huge immunity booster and releases endorphins. Even if it’s in your home or via zoom/facetime with a friend. Sore muscle salve after workouts!
Mediation and Journaling. Lavender and Lavender and mint salves offer wonderful aromatherapy support for a calming and focused feeling.
Limiting alcohol. I’ve found that lavender lemonade and some of my favorite coffee beverages are doing the trick!
Keep those lips from cracking with my cinnamon citrus lip balm! More scents coming soon!
Ward off depression and anxiety with crystals and practice!
